| What is my day like?: Return
To The Top Of The Page
You start the day by meeting us at the track we are scheduled to ride for the day, where upon your arrival everything is set up and ready for you. At the track, while you
change into gear inside the privacy of MX Vacation's
trailer, we set up pit and prep the bikes. Before you
ride we hold a riders meeting to inform you on the track
layout, safety, riding conditions, and to answer any
questions you have.
For large groups, MX Vacations can often provide transportation to and from the track when you stay at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Temecula. You will need to make special arrangements with MX Vacations for this option.
During the day, you are free to ride, experiencing
the different tracks at each location. When you come
back in for your am break, you can snack, get hydrated,
while we refuel and prep your bike. Help yourself to
refreshments throughout the day. After about 2:00 bring
in your bike, we'll clean and load up while you have
a drink and get changed. You are then free to return to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day in Southern California. Don't stay out too late - you'll
need your energy for another awesome day of riding!
What
if I damage the bike? Return
To The Top Of The Page
We expect minor damages and scratches as part of a day's
riding. We keep major parts and tools on hand to repair
more major damage at the track, so that you can continue
to enjoy your vacation. We also try to have an extra
bike available. However, if you do severely damage or
break a major part, we will need to charge you the cost
of replacing that part. (we only charge you our cost).
You will sign a release outlining the charges you will
incur if specific parts are damaged.
What
if I get hurt? Return
To The Top Of The Page
Safety is a priority on all MX Vacations. We discourage
reckless riding and reserve the right to take the bike,
and cancel the remainder of your vacation, if we feel
you are riding carelessly and/or recklessly. We know
that even if all precautions are taken, riders still
get injured. For minor injuries, we have a first aid
kit on hand. Many tracks have medics on hand and, if
necessary, will call for ambulance. We strongly recommend
that you carry medical insurance. If you do not have
a policy, we recommend getting a travel/accidental policy
prior to your MX Vacation. MX Vacation can arrange for
travel medical insurance for both U.S. and International
travelers.
Do
I need to pay for gas, oil, or track entry fees? Return
To The Top Of The Page
No, MX Vacation is designed to be all inclusive so that
all you need - is to be ready to ride! Once you get
to Temecula, as part of your vacation package we include,
transportation to and from the tracks (on certain vacation
packages), fuel, oil, track fees, refreshments, full
lunch with special packages, use of the pit trailer
and of course, bikes!
What
airports are nearby? Return
To The Top Of The Page
Ontario Airport is the closest. San Diego and John Wayne
(Orange County) are about an hour, and LAX is at least
1 1/2 hrs. away. These times are based on the chance
that you won't have traffic (which is rare in Southern
California). Shuttle transportation is also available
from all three airports. MX Vacations can assist you
with your airport transfers.
What
if i don't have anyone to ride with? Return
To The Top Of The Page
If you are by yourself, we will arrange for you to join
another riding party. There are always other riders
on the track, and chances are a MX Vacation pit crew
member will also join you on the track.
What
if my spouse wants to come, but he (or she) doesn't
ride? Return
To The Top Of The Page
If you are taking part in one of our Special Event Packages,
we will add a small fee to cover the cost of food at
the track on the days they join us. Otherwise, they
are free to come, watch, take photos, and video. There
are many other things to do in Temecula, and surrounding
areas, and MXV can provide suggestions to help make
your MX Vacation fun for everyone.
What
shuttles to call, where to eat or what to do at night? Return
To The Top Of The Page
For Airport transfers/shuttle service, MX Vacations
recommends Executive VIP Shuttle Service at 951.304.0412
.
There are many great restaurants in Temecula from which
to choose. We recommend the Claim Jumper directly across
the street from the Embassy Suites in Temecula for large
portions of American Cuisine at great prices. Also,
at the Promenade Mall a few miles from the hotel , there
is a wide selection of restaurants to choose from offering
a range of cuisine from Chinese, to Italian, All American,
Mexican, Japanese, plus much more. At the Promenade
Mall there is an excellent movie theater and many stores
to shop including No Fear.
Can
kids ride? Return
To The Top Of The Page
Yes! We have a PW 50 for riders as young as 8 years
old, and a KLX-110 for older children. Children, boys
and girls love to ride. There are peewee tracks at most
locations exclusively for beginner and small riders.
If you do bring young children, you are however, responsible
for them at all times.
What
happens if it rains? Return
To The Top Of The Page
Good question! Fortunately there is little rain here
in the Inland area of Southern California, but Mother
Nature does have a mind of her own. We don't cancel
a day of riding due to a weather forecast (you can never
trust them). Usually if it rains, the storm passes through
fairly quickly and within an hour or two it clears up.
If it rains on the day you're scheduled to ride, we'll
take you out as soon as the rain lightens up or change
around the track schedule to accommodate you. If a persistent
storm moves in and the rain doesn't let up all day or
for several days, and we can't get you riding while
you're here in Southern California, we'll give you a
rain check for another date. We don't give refunds based
on bad weather.
